Cucurbita pepo
South African squash with numerous, dark green, smaller fruits and light yellow, nutty flesh.
The young fruits can be prepared like zucchini and the spherical, mature pumpkins (approx. 300 g) can be stored very well, but later have a hard skin. The fruit can then be steamed in salt water, for example, and served halved and stuffed. The variety is also sometimes found as "Rolet" or "Gem Squash".
